Glance privacy policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This policy covers the Google Calendar integration in Stuart Foy's privately hosted Glance dashboard. It does not describe unrelated services or embeds on Stuart's portfolio website.

Information accessed and used

With the account owner's authorisation, the integration retrieves upcoming event data from their primary Google Calendar. Calendar responses can include event descriptions, locations, attendees and other event metadata. The dashboard uses event titles, dates and times to display upcoming events.

The current integration does not create, modify or delete calendar events.

Storage and retention

Calendar responses are temporarily cached in the dashboard server's memory, normally for 15 minutes before being refreshed. The integration does not maintain a separate calendar-event database.

Google authorisation credentials, including a refresh token, are stored in the private server configuration so the dashboard can retrieve events without repeated sign-in. They remain there until removed or replaced. Revoking access makes the token unusable but does not remove the saved credential from the server.

Sharing and visibility

Calendar data is retrieved from Google and processed on Stuart's home server. Displayed event information is visible to anyone who has access to the dashboard.

The integration does not sell calendar information or use it for advertising, profiling or AI model training. It does not send calendar data to AI services.

Disconnecting and removing data

The account owner can revoke the integration's access through their Google Account's third-party connections settings. Removing the saved credentials from the dashboard server also stops future calendar retrieval. Cached events may remain visible until the cache refreshes or the dashboard service is restarted.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if the integration's data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
